"Andathil Ullathu Pindathil Ullathu; Pindathil Ullathu Andathil Ullathu"

India's soulful science

India is a great country with several of the most valuable and unique, soulful sciences.

The five elements involved in the body of a living organism — the pancha maha bhootas: prithvi (land), jalam (water), tejas (fire), vayu (air) and aakasham (space) — contribute to the formation of the universe and are omnipresent. The sun, the moon and the air are the three modulating factors that make the world lively, just as the liveliness of the body comes from three elements called vata, pitta and kapha.

As the universe is governed by the pancha maha bhootas and the three lively factors of sun, moon and air, the body too is ruled by these same elements and the tridoshas.

Why we don't wait for illness

Nowadays the list of diseases keeps growing endlessly because of the heavy intervention of technological innovation and the tremendous use of chemicals in day-to-day life. Yet no disease condition needs to be considered completely helpless or without a solution.

No disease, physical or mental, manifests in an hour or a week. The pathological cycle of every illness unfolds over a period of time, and during that period the body exhibits many signs and symptoms — mild to severe — that alarm us to take care of ourselves. Too often, through mere carelessness, we ignore our body's natural call and fall sick and ill willingly.

"Old is gold" — and it is still not too late to secure our health and longevity. Let's all join hands with the system of Siddha and Ayurvetha, and follow our ancestors' way of food culture and their natural methods of treatment with natural herbs, together with us.
